old ammo i got in a trade from the 50's
I would like to know if there is a site where i can see what it might be worth

If you had described the ammunition there is a possiblity somebody here (especially Iconoclast) would have known. Is the ammunition all one type? caliber? collector ammunition? obsolete caliber? headstamp? How old is it? Is it in boxes or individual specimens?
Old ammunition doesn't mean it is worth anymore than regularly available commercial ammo. However, collectable ammunition could be worth something especially for some rare experiments, early patent fire ignition ammo, civil war ammo, Maynards, volcanics, combustable case ammo, Robin Hood shotshells, etc.
The best action for you to take is to go to the evil auction website, go to collectable ammunition and try to find what it is you have using the search function. If you find what you have, look at the closed auctions to get an estimate of the value. You can use this website to do the same, but the collectable ammunition on the evil website is more inclusive.
You might also be able to find out by describing your ammunition and posting the question on the International Ammunition Association website:

There is a "collectible ammo" category here on GB. If you do a search for the particular item(s), limited to that category, it may give you some idea. As heavy iron noted, though, old <> gold. There are so many factors which affect the value, it would require more time than I have to list them all - we need a *lot* more detail! As written, your post is akin to saying "I have some old firearms . . . what are they worth?"

I still have most of the ammo about 100 boxes of the 2 below
REMINGTON PISTOL MATCH 22 LR
AND WESTERN Xpert 22 lr from back in the late 50's or early 60's0 -
I just sold a pistol match on the gunbroker auction side for 10 bucks, Not a big demand especially for that many. There are many styles of the Xpert so Id have to see the box.Some go for 10 , some 50 a few rare ones even more 0 -
so what do you intend to do with the ammo , hang on to it, shoot it, or sell it ? some of what you mentioned may be worth more as collector ammo simply due to the "eye appeal" of the boxes, personally i do not believe they will be all that collectable.., they simply are not old enough...., but !! who knows till ya try. 0 -
my western xpert are like yours
the remington pistol match is different than your they are a lite green white and a little red also.
I have shot some and given some to guys who wanted a box.
I saw a guy was adverising them for from 6 to 13 or 14 7 years ago.
I would have thought that some wouldnt fire but never had a fail..0
