remington model. 11

anyone have one of these? i always liked brownings design and was wondering how much a model 11 in 20 gauge would cost? 28 inch barrel with a poly choke.

    Polychokes cut the value substantially. The 20 ga is the most desireable of the model 11's. With a polychoke, in 80% condition I would say it is a $200 shotgun.

    Original condition is everything. I own several Model 11's.
    If the barrel is not marked for choke-you have an original -dial a duck-system. Although poly chokes do work, they kill the value of any gun not installed by the factory/manufacturer. The Model 11 is as good or better than the A-5. The 20 *should* command a price extra
    over a twelve-if in orignal condition-no pads, etc. You also need to check the serial number of the barrel-they originally matched. If you have an early gun-safety inside trigger guard-vs. push button-not desirable. Also-any special engraving? Good luck-101

    I have a model 11 in 12ga. mfg. in 1920. All original but hunted with for over 40 years. Not much blueing left, etc. Mine is a 26" cyl. bore. Heck of a bird gun.............

    depending on condition, worth a good $300 for one that is excellant.

    I bought a beat up old 12ga here on GB and had it tapped for screw in chokes. It is a wonderful shotgun now. I'll take 1 model 11 over 3 A5s. I will say I like "The Sportsman" version better. I have a 3 ga set of each and I like model 11s for using and the Sportsmen for looking at.

    I like guns, anybody who doesn't like guns is an SOB. Do you like guns?

    I'll give one for an A-5. But not trade an A-5 for an 11. but then again im in it for the money.
