TAURUS PT22 ANY GOOD?
I am considering buying a Taurus pt22 for my daughter. Anyone had experience good or bad? I like the tip-up barrel and the DAO with a safety arrangement. Does it all work as expected? I know that a 22lr is not a lot of power.

My sister in law had one once upon a time. It was stolen from their home along with many other items. I had the oppurtunity to fire this pistol on more then one occaision. Over all I was not impressed with it, or its quality. Though the rosewood grips did feel great that was about the only thing I liked about it. I really didn't care for the trigger pull, and was not overly impressed with the sights. They are very thin and are the same color as the rest of the gun. However, to be fair, I don't remember it ever having a jam.
My choice would be a Walther P22 with the 3.5" barrel.

Have you considered the KelTec .32?

On a gun this size, I consider sights irrelevent. Mine is a bit ammo sensitive, so fire a couple hundred at least to make sure it likes your choice of ammo. Mine never skips a beat with the 60 gr. SSS from Aguila. It's not my first choice for carry, but sometimes it ends up in my pocket, and that sure beats throwing rocks.
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.0
