Sweet Sixteen Year of Mfg

I have a Browning Sweet Sixteen, serial no. S380xx, I have dated it to 1955. Do I have this correct?

  I took a look at your link, I'm more confused now.[?] There was no reference to an S on Brownings site and the numbers seemed one digit off. I got the 1955 date from my Blue Book. Any additional help appreciated, for serial number S380xx.

  As of FN records, on 6/30/55; the highest serial number
  to have been shipped was S-36100.
  On 12/31/55, the highest serial number to have been
  shipped was S-49350.
  So your Sweet Heart, I mean Sixteen was made in early
  3rd quarter of 1955.
