M1 Carbine Trigger Housing

I have a M1 carbine trigger housing which is stamped "U" in the mag well and has a flaming bomb on the bottom. This looks like a Underwood housing but it also has a "W" stamped on the right rear side. Did Winchester get trigger housings from Underwood and restamp it with the "W"? Any thoughts would be helpfull...

  It would help if we knew which of the 6 types of trigger housing you have. Underwood marked theirs ".U." , not "U". If it doesn't have the dots, it's probably a Winchester.

  Sorry I did not give a complete description. By Ruth it looks like a Type A, Variation 2 housing. The ".U." is on the back wall of the mag well and it has the dots. The flaming bomb is on the bottom between the trigger guard and the mag well. Color is med. dark green with some light surface rust.
