SIG Mosquito
I see that the Mosquito is finally available. Has anyone had a chance to handle and/or shoot one? I think I really want one but was so disappointed with the little Walther pistol, I'm a little gun shy, so to speak. No dealer around here has one and was told they don't plan on carrying any on hand until they see how it sells. Special order only.

Just got one in the box and on the box it U.S. Model Shipped with 1 Nagazine m & European model shipped with 2 Magazines..
It also has an additional spring and a couple of little plastic do dadys with metal on the prongs
What is all that? and is there a diff between the 2 ??0 -
I had one in stock (it was going to be a personal gun for me) but I sold it. It did not have the quality of the Walther. What don't you like about the Walther? I think that is a great little gun for the money.

sigforum.com has reviews posted in their general discussion and pistol areas. reviews are good so far. i like my walthar p22. looking at a mosquito as well. may fit hand a little better than walthar

My disappointment was not in the area of quality, fit and finish as much as in the fact if felt uncomfortably small in my hand and was, by my standards, quite inaccurate. Since this is what I would consider a sporting or plinking pistol, I feel it should, (please note I am refering to the guns potential not the shooters ability), hit a beverage can size target every time at 15yds with selected ammo. I tested mine with both barrels and a rather large variety of ammo, from a bench and the very best was 3"+ at 15yds, some as large as 6"+. To me this is unacceptable. I don't have a 22 handgun that won't shoot under 1" at 15yds. Some will do better than 1" at 25yds and that includes a very old K-22. I'm sure mine was in the minority but once burned, twice shy. If I end up with a Mosquito and it doesn't shoot any better than the Walther, it will go away regardless of how much I love my SIGs.
