Jennings Nine Continued

The picture below is a Jennings Nine now manufactured as Jimenez Arms.
The part that is circled is the take down,it's not on the rear like the older models.

    Does the take down lever work in the same fashion as the old pin did? The pin used to be depressed and the slide worked forward. I assume the lever is pushed upward as the slide is worked forward?

    At least the stamping of the shield on the slide looks better then the old style of marking.

    I don't know how it works my point is the original poster was given the wrong information.He was told.


    "First of all , The "take down" is on the rear of the slide , Not on the side of the gun ... these have a habit of having a burr (from the factory) that makes them very hard to take down ..Or you may have the firing pin in backwards , this makes it impossable to disassemble by regular means ...& we have sold several of these , with very few problems or complaints , regaurdless what some may say , these are o.k. as plinkers (tackle box guns, ect.)...Not colts or smiths and not as near as costly either ,,, If you have further problems m contact us , we do " smithing " on these ( as well as others ) at very reasonable rates ...

    This information is for the older Jennings models like the J-22,J-25 and the model 48 & 59. Not the Jennings Model Nine.[:(]
