Help in identifying an old shotgun

I have what appears to be an old single shot break open shotgun in 20 gauge. The left side of the receiver is marked ST PAUL ARMS CO. The right side of the receiver is marked PATENTED DEC 15 94 AUG 98 AUG 14 00 MAY 22 02. The number 80 is stamped into the steel behind the trigger guard (serial number?) The number 20 is stamped into the bottom of the barrel just in front of the wooden handguard. The right side of the receiver just in front of the patent dates, has a small circular metal hinged hatch about 3/4 inch in diameter. The hatch has a flower petal design engraved on it. When opened, it simply exposes a small hole in the frame where one can see through to the upper portion of the receiver. The gun is mostly brown petina with no remaining blue. There is some pitting on the frame. It still appears to fully function. Anybody know what this is? What is an approximate value?

    Thanks for the value info. I can't seem to locate this make anywhere on the internet. Not mentioned in any books I have read either. Do you know anything about the St. Paul Arms Co? Or where to find the info?
