9mm NATO ammo????

I wasn't paying attention today at a gun show, and purchased a box of Winchester 124gr 9mm NATO ammo, instead of 9mm Luger. From what I can gather, this is a hotter load and builds more pressure.

Is this safe to use in a Beretta 92FS, or Glock 17? Or is it designed to be used in a "special" gun that can handle the hotter load?

    winchester isnt that bad. i shoot it all the time. its the IMI that is hot.

    It will work fine. B92s and Glocks are built for even +P use regularly, and +P+ now and then. Normal NATO is no problem.

    That 9mm Nato will shoot just fine in your Glock or Beretta. It will not cause damage.
    Both these guns were made to shoot that ammo. 9mm Nato and 9mm Luger are the same round.
    What you should be aware of is some European 9mm that is made for Sub-Machine guns and is loaded substantially hotter than SAAMI spec ammo.

    Just beware on Submachine and pistols ammo coming from Sweden and Brazil as said by Laredo. They are really strong.....violent blast. Two brands: Svenska from the European country and CBC from Brazil.

    I shot 30rds through my Glock 17L today....no noticeable recoil and very accurate!
