Jak, sorry nor not answering sooner. I have the same model with wood furniture serial #1960xx and the button you we are referring to is just below the ejector port. I also had mine out this weekend and it functions fine (even using the reduced recoil LEO ammo slugs and oo buck)Somewhere in one of my computers I have a manual on file in PDF, when I find it I'll post it for you. And to BJV, yes it is.

  I need the manual also, I emailed Benelli with no reply. On there site there is a place coming where you can download a manual but who knows when. Thanks, Jim
