AR15 Upper Choices

I'm looking to buy a new upper for my AR15 and was wondering what brand I should go with. Here are the choices I'm come up with so far.

Rock River Arms
Bushmaster
Wilson Combat
Armalite

What does everyone think. I'm basically looking for accuracy. Thanks for the help in advance.

    You can't go wrong with a Bushmaster.

    RRA uses Wilson match barrels for a few of their uppers.

    Accuracy?....Stick with RRA/Wilson, Wilson, or Les Baer.

    What configuration upper did you have in mind? Militay: short med or long. Varmint: med heavy or jumbo? Flattop or carry handle? What is wrong with the upper that I assume you already have on it?

    Nothing is wrong with my current upper. Would just like to put together a more long range rifle. Was thinking about the 20" varmit in stainless steel. Or maybe 24". not sure yet. Just wanted some different opionions on compaines.

    Check the caliber depending on what ammo you are using. The Rock River Arms uses a 223 Wylde that is supposed to be in the middle for using both 223 and 5.56. If you are going to be using NATO 5.56 don't get one that is chambered in 223. I like my RRA upper.

    Bushmaster flattop varmint uppers are supposed to be good. I went with a 24" middlen weight barrel and have been real pleased with it. The thing I found wanting was my trigger. For blasting away at targets with the iron sights the regular trigger was ok. For real target work I'm thinking about getting a 3# Jard, non adjustable, put in.

    I'd buy a complete rifle rather than an upper. I saw a Bushmaster Varminter at the gun show last week for $969, and I have seen it lower. If you order an upper from Bushmaster - and no one seems to discount uppers much - it is $725. For $250 more, you have a complete rifle and the two stage match trigger.

    Go with a JP upper for long range shooting. They use cryo'd barrels and they have an awesome muzzle break (loud but awesome). www.jprifles.com

    If you can afford it get one from fulton armory. If you're looking for value check out jt distributing.
