Scope adjustments
I just acquired a Lyman Super Target, 15 power scope. Anyone out there know how to "unlock" the turret adjustment knobs? They are not corroded but they will not turn to make a POI adjustment.[:(]

They have a separate "locking ring" below the adjusting knobs. Unscrew the locking ring, make the adjustment and cinch up the locking ring. Remember, adjustments are made the opposite of modern scopes. Think of the reticle/post as the front sight of a firearm. Raise it to lower POI and move it right to move POI to the left.

I can not find the separate "locking ring" you've described. Just a numbered dial with two very small setscrews beneath the knob. Now what? 0 -
I guess I would gently try the set screws to see if they lock/unlock the adjusting knobs.

Hello On my lyman scopes there are 2 large knurreled knobs one at 12 o clock and one at 3 oclock there is a spring loaded plunger at 7.5 oclock and a fairly large screw running front to back in the ring at 1.5 oclock this screw squezzes the ring to make the turret adjustment either easy or hard to turn . this might be your problem just loosen this screw if your turret / rear ring has one 0
