Swift optics

Are they any good? I think I rememebr reading on this board that they were generally liked, but are they comparable to Tascos, and other low end scopes, or are they better.
I have been wanting to get a 4 power scope, gun shop had a swift for $79-much less than the $200 plus Leupold I was looking at. Probably should go with the Leupold, but I would like to hear some opinions on Swift-thanks

    I am looking at a 2-7x40mm for my Remington 742. How 'bout it optics guys. I did some research and they seem to be of good quality and reasonable price. Any pros or cons to help me make up my mind?

    I have two Swift 'scopes. 4 x 12. The premium grade, i think its called. Came in red and black boxes rather than the black and blue box.
    Pne is on a Anscutz 22, and the other on a Remington 760 243. Pleased with them. Matter of fact I took off a higher priced name brand 'scope to put the one on the 243. I think they are a lot better than a lot of the scopes that cost more.

    I sell the Swift line in my shop, and have had very good results with them. They are extremely clear and we have virtually no problems with them, and they are guarranteed for life. A great scope for the price.

    I also have 2 Swifts,both excellant scopes.The older of the 2 is a 3x9x40 that I would guess has help take nearly 150 deer over the past 20 or so years.

    The only one I have experience with sits on a high dollar Air Arms air rifle in my safe. It has served me excellently thus far.

    Actually, That was EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. I'm going to put it on my wife's Rem 742/6mm so it doesn't need to be "magnum proof" anyway.

    I have a Swift 3x9 on my Ruger 257 and couldn't be happier. Nice and bright one shot one deer this past season
