Need some info and value on pistols

My Col. ran across these and would like some info.
I would like to find the value of them.

He has the bring back paper work for them. They are:
1. 1853 Bermingam Musket pistol. Blueing is gone brass is all there wood is about 75%. Pistol is 100% of there. The barrel is 7 7/8" long. All seams to function. It has the stamps of England on it with V.R. under them. also some proofing stamps.

2. 1855 Enfield in the same condition. Same markings. It also has a chain like sling. Barrel is 7 3/4" long.

    You got to be real carefull of that stuff thats coming in from the Stan and other hot-spots nowadays. Lot of them aren't authentic, no-matter what markings/proofs they have. There generally known as Kyber Pass Specials and have been coming out of Darra Pakistan, for 100 years or more. Your Col's pistols might have been made their, last year or 100 years ago, they have been making replicas of British Military firearms since Queen Victoria's time.

    Have QUALITY, close up pictures taken of the pistols and their markings, then post them. Even better, find a knowledgeable collector or dealer to do a hands-on appraisal. So the pistols authenticity can be verified.

    For what he paid for them they were worth it. Not only that they look and feel like orginals. They are still over here with us in the sand box. We won't be able to tell for sure until we get back to the states. I do have pics though. Send me an email and I will email you the pics.

    Thank you. I have yet to see an authentic firearm brought back from the middle-east. Its a shame these guys are risking their lives for very little money and being screw out of that by the locals.
