Remington 600 in .35 Rem.

Having a collection of these neat little carbines and having given up all hope of ever owning the extremely rare 600 in .223,that is unless i hit the lottery....[:D] The one i never ever seem to see at gunshows or on the GB auction is the vent rib model in .35 Remington.
Do any of you know how many of these were produced and for how long??

    Texas Hunter: I was told by a good Remington source that approx.
    1352 model 600's were made in the 35 cal.
    I am lucky to have purchased one new in box several
    years ago for my collection.

    I just knew someone out there would have the answer.
    Thank you so much for the info RedDog.
    It will take a lot of good luck to stumble on one of these and even more luck to find someone who knows not their value when they go to sell it.

    I agree that is some interesting information about the number of Model 600s made in 35 Remington. I never knew that.

    As a related item of interest, there were 300 Model 600s made in 223 caliber. They are so valuable as a collector's item that not many of these will be shot anymore. The Model 600 223 version also had a rifling twist rate that was not conducive to stablizing the bullet. As a result these rifles in this caliber have been reported to be "inaccurate" shooters.

    I would still love to own one, even so.

    Texas Hunter; I know where there is a Model 600 in 35 Rem. for sale
    if you are interested.The asking price was around $900.00-1,000.00.
    I already own 3 in this caliber so I'm Not interested in it at this
    time. Email me at mr600@rockbridge.net if you are.

    Heavy Iron; I own a 223 in both a model 600 & 660 and have never shot
    them. I have also heard that they were the only caliber that would
    not shoot a good group in this rifle but I guess I will never Know[}:)] Red Dog Mr 600
