Sold Springfield 67F. Need Help
I sold online a Springfield Model 67 F .410 Serial # A3262XX . The buyer has sent me a C & R FFL to ship to. I have doubts that this shotgun qualifies as C & R. Can someone help me with the manufacture date? Thanks, Leonard.

I personally don't remember ever seeing a pre 1968 savage with a serial number.

Springfield was a trade name used by Savage on some of their inexpensive rifles & shotguns.
Since these, ( Springfields ) were mostly made and sold as hardware guns, none of my references gives data on them, or crossreferences them to comparable Savage or Stevens models.

If you call Savage and give them the serial number they will tell you when it was manufactured. [:)] 0 -
Pretty sure that's a "no freakin' way" scenario. I would still call Savage as suggested, but I'm pretty sure if you look on the C&R list in the book, you won't find that one. You could also call the ATF field office nearest you and ask for a determination from them, but that pretty well seals your fate to not sending it that, or any other way if it is not a listed gun.
