police positive 22 serial DOM

all i can find in the books are DOM for SAA, 1911s and such, is there a website i can go to and find when my police positive 22 was manufactured, or would some one be able to tell me, its serial number 435XX. thanks, dave

  COLT'S DATES OF MANUFACTURE by R. L. Wilson shows the that serial number to have been made in 1938 or 1939. For some reason the serial numbers for those two years are lumped together.

  www.proofhouse.com has colt serials, also midas books sells the pocket size books for colt, win, browning, us military. they are around 6-7$ ea. your gun was made between 38-40
