Enfield 410 shotgun

I have one with a 3inch chamber in it. Can I shoot slugs through the thing, or just shotshells.

  I was at my milsurp dealer's today getting some ammo for my newly purchased Enfield No. 4 Mk1* when I spotted one of those 410 shotgun conversions. This one was made in 1948 and has the wooden plug in the magwell. It has really nice wood and is very good condition. He is asking $220 for it. I have no idea if that is a good price or not. It is unusual, I think, and I would like to get it, but I don't know if that is a good price. I paid $239 for my No. 4 Mk. 1, and that shotgun has to be limited production I would think. They made millions of Enfields, but probably not too many of those shotguns.

  I've fired slugs through mine without any problems. Fairly accurate at 25 yards.

  If it`s the one you got from me,I used to shoot slugs through it. No problem.Have fun.
