Colt Barrel

Can I put a Colt Diamonback barrel on a Police Positive revolver?
Both are nickel plated.

If so, is this something for a gunsmith or can a novice (knot head) do this?

    Yes, But....., you will find the frame of the Police Positive doesn't come anywhere near to matching up with the vented rib of the Diamondback barrel. There will be a place that needs some expert welding on the top of the frame or the end of the barrel or both that would have to be taken care of to make it "look right" or somewhere close. Then you would have to have the gun and the barrel both re-plated, and then.........

    If it were my barrel and my Police Positive, I would sell both and buy a Diamondback to replace them with......less trouble and a better approach in my opinion.............
