Magazine compatability

I just bought my first handgun today, a Sig p229 in 9mm. I have been looking online for more mags for it and I just have one question. Will any other models(226, 228 ect) mags work with the 229? I have found some good deals on every other model except the one I want. Thanks for your help in advance

  I have a Valmet M76 in .308. Will the magazines for a Valmet M78 in .308 work in my gun?

  I would try CDNN. I see they have 12 round mags from $25 to $30 for LE marked 229 mags.

  I'm not sure if the 226 mags will work in a 229. You may want to ask Mr. Nunn, the moderator of the General Disgussion board as he is a Sig armorer.
