Anyone out there with experience, comments, etc regarding the Walther (S&W) P-22? Thanks for response

  had mine for almost a year, its the extended target barrel and mine is a tack driver within 20 yards

  My 5 and 8 yr olds have put many a brick through my p-22, which prefers the hot stuff, CCI's and the silver and black box blazers.the roll pin back by the safety likes to back out every brick or so,fixed it with a small drop of loc-tite, also make sure the barrel nut stays tight, it's a fun, loud, gun,it will be great fun to own, good luck...

  Safety on the slide moves around alot, mostly to safe, pain in the rear.
  Mine is the combo unit 2 barrells.
  But most of my shooting is with the long barrell and a suppressor.
  Was using Agulia's, sometimes would not cycle, now use CCI Standards which leave at subsonic speeds and works 100%.
  Did I say the safety sucks.

  I've seen alot of people bring them in with stripped threads on the barrel attachment.
  
  I know a guy that has one that liked to disassemble while he was shooting it. Also he was constantly breaking hammer springs that after so many trips back to Walther / S&W, they finally just sent him a bag of 100 springs. Believe it or not he loves that gun.
  
  I would say spend the little extra or less and get a Ruger MKII.
