30 Remington 160gr FMJ-RN

I have five boxes of near mint Remington Kleanbore 160 grain FMJ ammo for caliber 30 Remington (for model 8 and 14 rifles). What was the FMJ used for? I was told it was regular velocity loads used by law enforcement and prisons? I am sceptical!

  Although I've never seen any of this before, I'm inclined to agree since the remingtons were popular with both organizations as was the winchesters in 351 &401.

  Hello, I have sold these as used by prison guards, etc. Have had them in 30-30, 30 and 32 Rem, 351Sl and other calibers. One lot of 30-30 had Sargent of Guard and his name printed on box.
