Factory Rebuilt Glocks

A Kentucky firm frequently advertises Factory rebuilt Glock pistols.

Question,

Is there any way to determine if a Glock has been back to the factory for service of any kind other than someone saying so ??

  I called Glock and asked them about a rebuilt that I bought... WOW! what a surprise I got!! Very good people to talk to. Told me when it was made, who it was sold to, when it came back to Glock and what the work was that they did to it for rebuilt work. [:)]

  A lot of service guns go back to the factory. Many are very clean and not necessarily heavily used. It's a great way to shave money off a first purchase. About the only downside is the night sights some have--they might have only half their life left.

  The ones that I bought about 10 or so years ago that were rebuilt had the slides redone and you could tell they were not factory. I believe the factory slide was pakerized. That was the main way I could tell. Also some of the older rebuilt ones did not have the new drop mag on them. Other than that and the night sights being about out they are great. I still have a rebuilt 19.

  WE have bought and sold several of these "factory rebuilts" , I have always liked Glock from the time I attended the "Police armory" classes...Yes they (Glock Factory ) are really great people to deal with.......
