glenfield/marlin receiver peep sight
The receiver of my Glenfield 50 is drilled and tapped. I have been told that the Lyman 40sm is the correct receiver sight. Are there others? I cannot find a 40sm anywhere.

The cross-reference chart notes that your rifle is the same as the Marlin Model 55.
In Brownells catalog none of the CURRENTLY produced Receiver Sights made by Lyman and Williams are manufactured for The Marlin Model 55.
You have two options as I see it.
1), If your receiver is grooved for scopemounts, Williams makes a receiver sight that clamps in the grooves.
2), Advertise in the various forums and auctions on the net for the specific Lyman sight your looking for.
