bent barrel

I had a mishap with a Remington 7400 Rifle. Gun was run over. The end of the gun in bent. Is is possible to fix or is it expensive trash?

    Have an old percussion double bbl shotgun believe it is english as it has a crown and proof mark on left barrel. Barrels are sound, ie solderered rib, however right barrel is bent down a few degrees from level. There are no kinks in the barrel, my question is how or if it can be straightened. It patterns low and to the right approx half foot at 25 yds. Not sure of guage but measured barrels, right is open, left is choked, from measurements found in Dixie Gun Works table, I am using a 16 ga. wad and powder charge. Neat,solid,old shotgun with very bright plated barrels, can it be straightened?

    your barrel can be straightened by a knowledgeable gunsmith who has the proper equipment. Ive had a double bbl. bent much worse than yours straightened and you could not look at it and tell it. Look in the Shotgun News and Gunlist classifieds for one who advertises this service.

    A few degrees and no kink is no sweat to fix by any competent gunsmith.....if the barrel is solid steel and not damascus. If it's damascus, you shouldn't be shooting it in the first place.

    Thanks for the advice, not really sure of barrels construcion.The barrels are chrome plated on the outside, and from what I see of the bores they do not appear to have a damascus twist after I polished them. The breech plugs are in tight and have a scribe mark to the barrel on each that shows they have not been moved. Will leave the final word to a shotgun smith as you have reccomended, thanks again, grizz.
