Questions on Remington 700's
Actually three questions fellows.
What year did Remington stop using the aluminum buttplate on model 700 rifles??
And when did they do away with the bolt lock mechanism that would only allow you to cycle the bolt when the safety was placed in the fire position??
Lastly when did they start putting those warning labels on the rifles barrel such as "Keep out of reach of children" or some other such??
I am looking at a rifle that does not have a clear barrel code date marking and this info will help a lot.

This won't help much,but my .222 mag has the aluminum butt plate and it was made in '64.
