Dose anyone have any ballistics for this new pistol cartridge?

I got one when they first came out , you know just had to have it [8D] never had any problems with the rims overlapping , gun shot fine , had less felt recoil than the same Ruger SRH in 454 , but like so many after I had it for awhile it went to a new home , just because I had no need for it and the new had wore off [:(] 0 -

Nope i've never had any experience with the ruger revolvers, but i do own a taurus in 480. I LOVE THE GUN! The trigger is smooth, the grips are amazing....and i can consistantly put up 1.5-2" groups with it at 25 yards. (with the factory sights!) why risk having a problem with the 6 chot cylinder that ruger offers, when taurus has a winner in it's raging bull! I can't wait for deer season...whitetails had better watch out, cuz i'm sending that 325 grain bullet towards them at 1350 fps! YIKES! 0 -
Yeah gto I considered the .454 before. Only problem I have is that you have higher pressures resulting in more recoil and more wear on the gun, with a smaller diameter bullet. That is just the way I look at it though. I may not purchase one anyway because i have a .45/70 revolver already, but i have been disappointed with the groups it has shot up to this point and am considering dumping that(unless I find the magic load soon).

Have you tried the 350 GR Flat Point bullets in your .45/70 from hornady? They shot very well in mine with 39 grains of IMR 3031.

be advised that the 454 in the Ruger SRH is a nasty recoiling gun , it has a much sharper twisting type recoil, where the 480 is like a hard push straight back & up 0 -
If you do not own a hand cannon, then shop around and go for it.
I resisted the 454 and 480. I can hit with the 44 mag....and if that does not do it, I want something with a stock !
If we do not hang together,
