I have a Hopkins & Allen Vestpocket derringer in .22 cal.
It is TINY, ivory grips, gold-
colored medallion. I am told
there were only about 1,000 of
these made, and were also called
a "parrotbeak". Appearance is
good, fold back trigger does not
engage. Information....value,
year of mfg., collector interest.

There is a picture and write up in Flayderman's bible regarding your pistol. They were actually made just before H & A went belly up during the First World War, circa 1915. There were less the 1,400 made during that time frame, with variations in finish and engraving being worth more money. Unfortunately modern fakes have been made in Europe during recent times. Because of this great care has to be taken when acquiring one of these pistols. To be sure it's a vintage piece that was made by H & A and not by Luggi in the garage behind his pizza parlor.
