ruger no. 1

i just got a no.1 in hornet and it has a fairly heavy trigger. there are 2 small allen screws under the trigger. are these ajusting screws? if so how do i adjust it for a lighter pull?

  The front screw is for shear engagement the back one does nothing, Hard triggers is part of Ruger #1 , I have 2 of them one in 45-70 it came with a decent trigger, the other is 375 H&H And has a 5 and a1/2# trigger in it[V][:(!][V] I will not buy any more of them.

  buy a replacement trigger or take it to a good smith.

  take it to the orange gun shop, their smitty did a nice job on my gp100 for $30
