Colt Delta Elite Gold Cup

I want a Colt Delta Elite Gold Cup in Stainless. I guess I would prefer to trade cash and a new Springfield compact loaded 1911 with 5 mag (three of them are Wilson mags). Any ideas where to look, or how much money I might need to boot?? Thanks For you guys' help.

    Why are these so hard to find and what is a fair price? I know the "Blue Book" price and I have seen none sell for that on GB or anywhere else?

    1) They are no longer manufactured.
    2) They didn't make many.
    3) Nobody wants to sell theirs.
    4) All Delta Elites are scarce. [:)]

    Keep looking. I've seen them on the GB auctions. Around $900-$1000 on the ones I've seen.

    When I was looking for one, I finally gave up and bought a brand new Kimber Stainless Target II instead and it was $200 cheaper than any I was finding and shoots more accurately than my friends DEGC.
    However, I did pick up a Delta Elite eventually (since I love 10mm's). I still hope to pick up a Gold Cup, but at the price they are going for, they are approaching the Bren Ten prices and I'd much rather have another one of them than another one of the zillion 1911's out there.
    BTW, Dan Wesson, Kimber, Glock, E.A.A. and S&W all are still making 10mm's and there have been quite a few new models released the past few years so unless you simply want it as a collector, you too might find that for a shooter one of the other choices will suffice...


    The 10mm - either you've got it, or you don't get it...

    Of the choices mentioned, which is the best quality? I have always understood that the Gold Cup is the "top of the line"

    S&W no longer produces the model 610, 10mm revolver.

    Without the NRA, the second ammendment would already be gone!

    Hallo I write from Italy.Here is possible to find Delta Elite in 100 Auto, but more of there aren't Cold Cup.
    But I don't know If is possible to send it to you.

    I knew that S&W didn't make autos (since '95 or so), but last I looked they still had the 610 listed on their site, however, now a search by model or caliber both comes up empty so they must have pulled it too.
    As much as I love the 10mm, that's OK with me... It was WAAAY heavier than it needed to be.

    Coyboy, the Gold Cup is the best from Colt in 10mm, but I personally think some of the smaller (almost custom) companies like Kimber and Dan Wesson will outshoot even the Gold Cup. I've got a Springfield Omega Match that will absolutely shoot circles around my Delta Elite (but I realize it's not a Gold Cup). My Kimber is even more accurate than the Omega. The best thing to do is to find someone in your area that will let you shoot a few of these, even in different calibers if needed.
    If you're ever in Oklahoma City, we can go shoot my 10mm collection...

    Sounds good to me. I was stationed in Edmond in 1969-70. Good quail hunting up there. If you see my friend Lou Miller, telll him hello for me. He is an Okla City boy perhaps by way of Hydro and Cement.

    Not in 10mm auto, which is what the original post was about...
    (notice the "Delta Elite" in the post topic, that denotes the 10mm auto).
