Is the P-64 a Real Polish Design or What?

I'm not knocking the pistol, but would really like some answers on the magazine and holster combination that goes with the pistol. The holsters will fit the gun fine without the finger rest magazine inserted, but won't fit with the magazine in place. I am wondering, did they originally have a magazine that had no finger rest extension or were they intended to be carried with no magazine inserted, and then slipped in after the gun was drawn? I have to assume that there was originally magazines that did not have the extension that would allow the gun to fit the holster.

Second question, assuming there was magazines available without the finger extension, would it be legal to modify a magazine by removing the extension? I remember years ago, they banned the importation of the Walther PPK and forced the new model, the PPK/S with the finger rest on the magazine. Is that why the only magazines available for the P-64 have the finger extension, and would it be legal to modify the magazine to allow the gun to fit the holster (and, by the way, make it even more concealable).
