Legal in Kalifornia? Savage Striker

I've been researching my next purchase and one step I unfortunately have to undertake in my state, physical not mental.. is "is it legal"..

Savage Striker .308 or .300WSM

I think most of the strikers come with muzzle breaks and are listed as rifles in some of the searches I've done in various gun locators...

I figure they are legal in every state, with Kalifornia being the only questionable one.... We haven't secceded from the United States yet... so i want to get one before we join Canada..
