Totally hypothetical situation. I live in a town of around 10,000 or so. if someone on GB bought my gun off of the website, could they not just come to my house and buy the gun if they won the auction, or would i have to take it to an FFL? i have no idea, and was just wondering. State of Virginia

No reason they couldn't unless your state has laws against person to person transfers.

Depends on the State... Some states you can transfer between individuals of the same stare. Ask your local gun shop or police

Hello in Va. you can sell to another person in the state of Va. however to sell a pistol the buyer must be 21 years old . You need to see his drivers lic. and both you and him should sign and keep a copy of bill of sale . 0 -
Here is what I do in the Gestapo state of Illinois where a f.o.i.d. card is required, but it could aply to drivers license ,I take both of our i.d.'s make a copy of them together write the receipt on that copy, and both sign it
Some might say it is over kill, but I believe in cya, and it's my a I am worried about, but in your case if it is a stranger, and with out the foid card you do not know if they can own a gun legally so to cya I would go through a dealer, after all he must pay for the transfer but you're a is covered0
