Springfield GAP
anyone have any stories about this .45GAP? I have not heard anything so any feedback would be appreciated.

.45 Glock Automatic Pistol Concept is simple shorten the .45 acp case and load to higher pressure to create .45 acp ballistics in a round that can be chambered in the smaller 9mm and .40 size frames (there are other differences of course but thats the simple version)
everything I hear is good.....springfield just came out with the smallest 1911 ever built around it. .9 inch difference in grip circumfrence as opposed to thier other small 1911's chambered in .45acp. .9 may not sound like much but when your talking about someone like me with small hands it's amazing

Another use for the GAP is to get .45 ACP-like ballistics in countries where the .45ACP is banned for civilian use (Mexico is one example). 0 -
very good point....anywhere civilians aren't allowed military calibers.
