anyone know of a Mac Tools SXS

At a shop I buy from they took in a 12 Ga. SxS shotgun. Blue barrels and chrome receiver. Mac in a diamond is stamped on the lower right side of the receiver.

  There is a "MAC" shotgun listed in the shotgun book. It's French made, and probably a product of "Manufacture d'Armes de Chatellerault".
  
  IF? the shotgun you saw was French/European the markings/proofmarks on it will probably reveal it's orgin. When you go back scope out the markings, we might be able to identify it that way?

  I come up with the same information as Rufe-Snow. My reference gives the manufacturer as "unknown". You will need the markings and proof marks, to maybe get further. Be sure to check under the forend.
