HIBBARD 22 ???

Need help on identifying this one...

The only markings are a 4-digit SN,
model UH, and that it shoots S,L,LR.

Hex bbl.

Nothing else notable other than the "pump" fore arm is a bit smaller than most.

Any help would be appreciated.

  There was a large hardware distributor/wholesaler located in Chicago by the name of Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. They were in business from the last quarter of the 19th Century, until the depression, circa 1930. They did a big trade in so-called "Hardware Guns", i.e. inexpensive shotguns and rifles commonly sold with a "Trade Name", i.e. not bearing the name of the actual manufacturer.

  Afternoon Jerry: Looked into My database and in several Books encluding Satterlee and Glukman...No luck....I believe Rufe-Snow is 100% correct on this one...best.....Captain Kirk

  The 22 has the "look" of a 20's-30's rifle and like most,
  it's been used hard. Always neat to run across something different.
