ammo values?

bought a bunch of ammo yesterday from an estate.i made them an offer for everything and they took it.hers my problem,i have 4 boxes of remington 244 that the man reloaded back in 1958.the date and load are marked on the boxes.what are these worth? there is a box of pmc ultramag 38j 66gr tubular, i have never seen or heard of this ammo.looks like a copper bullet with a very large hollowpoint.and the last box is a box of S&W 38 spec. +p 125jhp.i dont need this ammo and would like too recoupe some of my money.what you think thanks don

    The brass from the .244 might be worth something to a reloader. I would never use reloaded ammo from someone that I did not know really well and would be especially concerned with ammo that was 47 years old.

    Stick it the auctions here at GB....

    244 is the same as 6mm remington, no real value, maybe $10 for components.

    Hello, Check the Ammo section for last 60 days and see if any have sold. They are probably not collectable.

    Had a bunch of this stuff years ago. It actually completely hollow. There's a plastic plug at the base of the bullet that separates after the bullet leaves the barrel. Since these hollow tublar bullets have been off the market for years, idividual specimens MIGHT? have value on the collectable cartridge market.

    I wouldn't sell or use the full box until you've made inquires to someone who's knowledgeable about the collectable cartridge market.
