I have a single shot 22 cal. rile. barrel marks are imman meffert suhl. This gun will auto eject after firing. Any information will help.

  My reference notes the Imman Meffert company had a long history,making various types of firearms in Suhl, dating to the 19th Century.
  
  After W W II they continued in business under communist control as Suhl was located in what was then East Germany.
  
  The only auto ejecting single shot rifle that I'm familar with is the Winchester Model 55. Would it be possible to post pictures of yours?
  
  Due to it's action, my WAG is that your rifle was probably made in East Germany in the 1950's.
  
  If you could post pictures of the proof marks on the rifle or give us a accurate discription, it would probably be possible to get an idea when and where the rifle was made. As the German proof marks changed over the years before and after W W II, and when the East Germans started producing guns.

  If it is cocked by first pulling back on a knob on the end of the bolt and then pushing it foward, it is a pre-War Simpson.
