    I have an H&R model 999, that is engraved, in a wooden presenation box, 1 of 999 on the gun. Also has a medallion in box that reads Awarded by United States Centennial Commission. International exhibition. Any idea on value of this set up. Has not been fired and is new in box with all papers. Thanks[8D]

    I don't know the value but a friend had one that would outshoot my S&W K.22 Masterpiece. The one I have fired were extremely accurate.

    I have a model 999. Bought it about 25 years ago. OK shooter, but I bought it for the break-open design.

    The value for these guns is about $200.00+ for the stock model in excellent cond, and about double that, $400.00+ for the engraved model you have.

    I dont know that there is a big following for H&R collectors, but that sounds like a semi-unusual gun you have. It can only go up in value.

    this special engraved and cased model 999 was first offered in 1981. limited to 999 revolvers all were marked 1 of 999, should have another serial number, but i don't know if they were in a special range.

    the medallion is a reproduction of the award given to H&R in 1876 for their display at the '1876 american centennial exposition'. i think it was held in Philadelphia, PA.
