Remington 1100 & 11 48 Stocks

Will these front & rear stocks interchange?

Hello Leo,

I am under the impression that they will interchange. In fact, I've seen 11-48's sell on GB before with what I thought was an 1100 stock (I thought that because of the checkering).

You may want to consult with a guy who sells a ton of remington 48 guns and parts on this site. His user name is ds032536. He will most likely be able to help you.

the butt stock may interchange with minor fitting, but the forend probably will not (the 1100 is gas operated, the 11/48 recoil operated) and both use the forend as a functional component.

I agree with Mike... The 11-48 stock can possibly be inletted for proper fit, but I don't think the 1100 will fit properly due to the larger area around the gas port.

The stock will interchange with very little problems, the fore end will not, as they are quite different at the front end.

Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.
