Italian cowboy gun
Never heard of this before. Found a guy selling one for $350.00, states it is a .45 calibur. Any info on whether it is a good price and picture of one would be appreciated.

Absolutley! I have several Uberti 'Colt 45's' as well as several Colt black powder replicas made by Italian companies like Uberti. If you have doubts about this gun, see if he will let you have your own gunsmith check it out!
BTW, $350 would not be a bad price if the gun is in good condition.0 -
Be very careful with it, check it out good. It should be a 45 Long Colt, not 45 APC.
Some are such a close Colt match that you can not shoot anything except underpowered cowboy action loads through them. If you want a good cowboy action gun that will stand up to a lot of shooting check out Ruger's line. They will only run you about $150 more, and that is cheap insurance.

Those rifles on Uberti site are beautiful. I have never checked them out before. 0 -
Aldo Uberti of Italy makes outstanding 19th century Colt, Remington and Smith & Wesson single action revolvers as well as great Winchester lever actions and Remington single shot rifles among other things. Uberti does make a reproduction Colt 1873 Single Action Army (Peacemaker) in .45ACP. They also make one that comes with two cylinders, one in .45 Colt and one in .45ACP that can be swapped out, since the bullet diameter of the .45 slug in ACP is basically the same bullet use for .45 Colt. Another company from Italy that was making many of the same guns for a while was Armi San Marco. I don't recommend the Armi San Marco guns as the quality was somewhat poor. The Uberti made repros on the otherhand are excellent. I have three Single Action Armys (as well as several other Uberti guns), one of the SAAs is a 7-1/2" barreled Cavalry model, another is a 5-1/2" barreled Artillery model and one is a 4-3/4" barreled Frontier Six Shooter. Uberti makes them in both "pre-war" style frame which lacks the transverse cylinder pin release in the frame and has the round "bulls eye" ejector rod handle and also the post 1892 style frame with the cylinder pin release button in the frame and the "crescent" ejector rod handle. Uberti's are imported and sold in the U.S. by several companies like Cimarron, Navy Arms and Stoeger. My Cavalry model is from Cimarron, my Artillery model is from Navy Arms and my Frontier Six Shooter is from Stoeger. I think the Beretta Stampede (another Peacemaker reproduction) may also be manufactured for them by Uberti. 0
