When measuring the length or a rifle barrel,do you include the chamber?

  MY GRAND DAD GIVE ME A H AN R BOLT ACTION 22 HORNET ITS A REAL SMALL GUN WHAT IS THE LEGAL BARREL LENGTH . ITS NEVER BEEN MODIFIED IT WAS FACTORY WITH A LITTLE SUPPRESSOR ON THE END OF BARREL THE TOTAL LENGTH OF GUN IS 34 INCHES

  Exodus;
  the only place that I can think of to add length to a barrel, is at you favorite gunsmith, and have him install a quality muzzle brake. Most qualified gunsmiths will be able to help you in determining type, and style of brake that will achieve what you are looking for with your project.
