gun prices ?
Anyone have a "link" to a price guide? Mother in Laws girlfriend has a J Stevens Arms Visible Repeater - short, long and Long rifle. Wasn't looking to sell it but wanted to know what it was worth.

Indeed, real world prices are best determined by looking at actual auction sell prices. That is, the price actually bid, not the opening or asking price. On the gunbroker home page, you will see a "smart search" option, though which you can look for your item description for not only current auctions, but auctions for 90 days in the past. You will see different results depending on the search terms used and search options selected. A great tool.

Otherwise you get the Blue Book of Gun Values (and you can use it on line for a fee) or the Standard Catalog of Gun Values. On some things they are close and on some they are pretty immaginative. Mostly lower than the real world. 0 -
Thanks guys, I wasn't far off the money. Can't believe it took me this long to find out how to access "completed" auctions. I'll relay the info to her but can I assume the octogon barrels were the early version? Most of the "round" barrels were serial numbered in the auctions but the only "octogon" stated "NO SER". <p> Thanks Again ! 0
