American Arms P98

I believe Erma made, or makes, a .22rf look-alike of the German P38 9mm service automatic. Is this correct and if so, what could I expect to have to pay for one in very good condition? Thanks for any help.

    The pistol your referring to was assembled in the US with mostly Erma made parts, circa late 1990's?

    Both American Arms and Erma went out of business, shortly thereafter. Circa 1999/2000.

    I wouldn't pay big bucks for one, as parts MIGHT? be a problem. If something were to break.

    Thanks rufe-snow. I just want one for my collection, not to shoot necessarily. Anyway, parts not a major consideration. I just noticed one went at a gunrunner auction a short while ago and the tiny photo looked exactly like the service weapon. Unfortunately the price it brought was not given.

    You can expect to pay around $150-200 for one. Just saw one for $170 about 2 weeks ago (it's gone now, tho). Good luck.

    Thanks for the info Hairy. Must not have been too many of them made. I've never seen one in my 70 years. Should be a good buy at that price. Hope I can find a good one for around that amount.
