18.5" barreled shotguns
OK guys, this is a multi-parter---I have a friend in the Flagler Beach,FL area who is looking for the best price on two Mossberg #50273 pump guns. 2nd part: do these Mossbergs still have plastic trigger guard assemblies? 3rd part: How do the Mossbergs compare with Remington or Winchester similar models? Do the latter two have any critical plastic parts that might impair function? E-mail rreplies are great!!!

The mossbergs compare by being crappier.
Remingtons are by far more reliable, winchesters are nice, but can be picky about ammo.
IMO Remington is the best by far. What good is an unreliable home defense weapon?

watch the local walmarts. they will have the remington 870 on sale this fall for hunting season. They sell a combo kit, has both a 20 and 28 inch barrel.
It is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.0
