i was in spain awhile back and had and opportunity to purchase a lugar(sp?)in very good shape for what equaled a very good price in our dollars. had to pass. when i returned home and was talking about it i was told, i could have bought it, and mailed it to myself.
Is this true? I will be going to mexico and do not want to pass up any more deals if i come across them. would i use fed ex, ups or what if it is true.

    First, don't go to Mexico.

    Second, if you insist on going to Mexico, don't even look at a firearm crosseyed. Refer to www.packing.org for the post from today regarding firearms in Mexico.

    Don't even dream of it. You need import permits from BATF and they must be done by an ffl for modern firearms.

    Rethink going to Mexico.

    Mexico is fine. Just don't leave the tourist area; i.e. Cancun, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, etc. Possession of a gun, or even a single round of .22 ammo, will get you 5-10 years in a stinking hole of a prison.

    Guns may only be brought into the US through an importer, who must apply the import stamp on it. Figure several hundred dollars by the time everyone gets paid.

    Yes, you could just mail it to yourself. And, you could get 5 years in a Federal minimum security prison.
