Rem 760 American Bicentennial model
I have a Rem 760 American Bicentennial Edition 1976 30-06. It has the gold Bicentennial engraving on the receiver. I have tried just about everything and contacted about everyone I can about this and the only thing I can find out is through Remington that there was an actual model, but no other info. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Folks that collect Commemoratives such as your Remington want them untouched, unfired, new in the box, mint condition, you get the picture.
One of my references values the 1976 Bicentennial 760 at 40% more then the standard model in comparable condition. My 2? is that valuation would only hold true if the 760 were in the condition referenced in the first paragraph.
I've seen these guys that collect Commemoratives go over them with a magnifying glass and reject any with handling marks that would be normally found if the action has worked or dryfired.
