I hope that this is the right forum for this question so here goes.Does anyone have any experience with those magnifiers that attach to shooting glasses?I need something for my 48 year old eyes to see the targets more clearly at 100 yds or more. I have presrip. reading glasses but no help here.Any info / advice appreciated.

  I believe that you are referring to the Merit Optical Attachment, which is a diaphragm, not a magnifier. They work well for pistol shooters, but not well for rifle shooters since your cheek weld usually forces you to look through the edges of your lenses, not the centers where the diaphragm needs to be placed.
  
  Optical sights, which allow both the target & the reticle to remain in focus, are probably the way to go as your eyes start to fail.

  It seems that you are referring to the Merit Optical Attachments. I used one for years with my shooting glasses in conjunction with open sights. They are available in aperture only for glasses (suction cup) or as an addition to existing open sights as an aperture or with a optical lens cavity for a prescription lens. And yes it does work with rifles per their website.
  
  I finally found an Ophthalmologist who was a shooter and could get my lenses ground correctly. He had a small area ground into one lens up towards the top of the lens just for open sight shooting. Works great!
