I have a Raging Bull "Professional Hunter" 5" Black Stainless. Seems rare, any ideas out there?

i'm very impressed with this revolver, chambered for the 480 ruger, i'm putting up 2 " groups at 25 yards (off a rest). love shooting it, but the shells are so expensive, that's why i wanna buy another revolver to add to my gun collection. looking at the Ruger GP100 in 357 mag, or the Ruger blackhawk hunter....pros and cons of each? 0 -
Hey Sendero, I was also considering a .480 Ruger in the Taurus Raging Bull. The looks are awesome and from what i have been hearing they are a great gun. How is the recoil on them?
As far as your questioned is concerned I have never owned a .357 in either model, but my dad did have one for many years(blackhawk hunter i believe). He absolutey loved shooting it and as far as i can remember he never had any problems with it. A .357 is a good caliber because its excellent for plicking with the .38 specials and at the same time will provide enough pop to kill a whitetail.0 -
Sendero, I can reccomend the GP100 as an excellent choice. I know a lot of people who have these guns and everyone I know would not part with them. I personally prefer a double action revolver, but the Blackhawk is a fine piece as well. I have been told that a single action is stronger, but I think the GP is plenty strong. Look how thick the top strap is. I bought this gun because it is like the smaller version of my Super Redhawk. It kind of has the same feel. Which ever one you choose, I think you will be happy. Ruger makes a great revolver.
