Remington 870 express finish?

Another just plain question....What is or how is it call the surface finish on a Rem 870 Espress shotgun ? Not a Mariner, just the standard model. Thank you.

    I think its just sand blasted and then blued. Its definately not parkerized, at least not mine anyway. I'm not that familiar with powder coats. I notice that when under bright light, it has a purple shine to it, thats what makes me think its blued.

    I think they offer both blued and parkerized finishes. I have found that Wal Mart guns have less finish than others, just my observation.

    It is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
